S&S is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Atkinson as the company’s Vice President of Customer Success. With over 20 years of experience, Kate is an established operations and finance leader within the energy industry. Her experience includes working for wholesale and retail energy providers in several roles, including Vice President of Operations, Treasurer, and General Manager. Before joining Systems & Software, Kate served as VP of Operations for Cayenta.
Kate is a dedicated individual who thrives on helping people meet their full potential. She is known for improving processes, visualizing realistic optimism, and developing high-performing teams. Hobbies include skiing, working out, hiking, and hanging out on her hobby farm outside Ottawa with her husband, dog, and two cats. She is also an avid baseball fan and especially LOVES the Toronto Blue Jays.
S&S is also excited to announce that Kelly Barland has been appointed Vice President of Research & Development. With over thirty years of experience in C-Level and senior leadership roles, Kelly brings in-depth knowledge, and industry insight to support an extensive, end-to-end product roadmap, channel strategy, and system integrations. Prior to Systems & Software, he served as Vice President of Corporate IT Operations at Nuvance Health.
Kelly lives in Burlington, Vermont, with his wife Lisa and their dog Murphy. He and his wife enjoy spending as much time as possible with their family and have two grown children, Ryan and Kate, who have not traveled very far from home. Kelly enjoys watching all kinds of sports and stays active with hiking, biking, skiing, boating, and golf in his free time. He
also remains busy with the hobby of woodworking.
